Welcome to our new blog series, "Empowering Diverse Angels," brought to you by Kapwa Capital angel syndicate, a community devoted to cultivating connections between seasoned and aspiring angel investors from diverse and underserved communities. Our mission is clear: to democratize the process of angel investing and ensure that founders from similarly underserved backgrounds receive the attention and resources they deserve.
Recently, our team had the incredible opportunity to participate in a number of events. I judged a pitch event at the Women of Color Conference in Atlanta, GA, and Lakhi Siap, Community Partners Lead & Scout, was recognized as an Unsung Hero at the Asian Hustle Network Uplifted Conference. The events not only provided us with insights into the latest trends in entrepreneurship and investment but also reinforced our belief in the overlooked, yet overperforming talent within our communities. Inspired by the stories and strategies shared at the conferences and the desires to learn and engage more in this asset class, we felt compelled to launch this blog series. We aim to echo the spirit of the conferences by sharing knowledge, experiences, and opportunities that elevate and support underrepresented voices in the world of angel investing.
